Filmmaker Funke Akindele, a numerous award winner in Nollywood, has sparked controversy online by criticizing her haters on her social media pages.
The actress who roke box office records used her Instagram story to discuss how people may become wicked over time.
Funke Akindele told her followers not to be swayed by wicked people because the energy out there is not cool. The mother of two twin boys spoke about being alone and staying out of trouble with God’s care.

“People can be so wicked! Remember you are on your own so look out of trouble. No one is perfect but let’s try to dey our dey. The energy out there aain’t cool. Beware!!! Olorun a ma so wa!!”

Although the post is yet to be viral, there is no pointer yet if the actress was shading anyone or just admonishing her loyal fans. Funke Akindele has been one to always shun naysayers.

Recall that Funke Akindele set a record for the Nigeria film industry as the first ever Nollywood film to enter a billion naira within a short period of release.

Funke Akindele made a whopping one billion, four hundred million naira at the box office.

Funke Akindele’s movies, A Tribe Called Judah, Battle On Buka Street and Omo Ghetto The Saga are respectively the second and third highest grossing Nollywood film of all time.

In 2023, the energetic actress launched a new production house. She officially made this announcement on her Instagram page where she unveiled the name of the production house, Funke Akindele Ayotunde Network, which has been in existence for over a year.

The mother of two twin boys was thrilled to announce the powerhouse being the blockbuster and record breaking movie, Battle on Buka Street.

Pouring out her emotions, she noted that the production house represents a 360-degree approach to filmmaking and also serves as PR solutions for films.

Funke Akindele appreciated her fans for their unwavering love and support that birthed FAAN, stating it was established as a collective strength of everyone who stood by her.
