Why I intentionally disrespected Davido – Singer BNXN spills as he tenders apology

Popular Nigerian artist BNXN, previously known as Buju, has explained his reasons for professionally disrespecting his senior colleague, David Adeleke, also known as Davido. This comes after BNXN received backlash from Davido’s fans when he promoted his newly signed artist, Taves, on social media.

In response, after an X user named Ola criticized the singer’s new signee, BNXN retaliated by calling Ola a derogatory term and pointing out that Ola lacks the moral authority to critique music, especially given his preference for Davido.

The controversial tweet from BNXN caused a stir online, leading to Davido unfollowing him. BNXN later deleted a tweet claiming to have made a classic song with Davido. Despite BNXN’s insistence on releasing the song, Mayorkun and Dremo, both former signees of Davido, criticized BNXN. Mayorkun body-shamed him, urging him to focus on fitness, while Dremo labeled his behavior as disrespectful.

Dremo wrote; ““@BNXN that tweet was mad disrespectful bro, you can’t be tweeting like you don’t know fans will blowing shit out of proportion cos you knew what you were doing, there are different ways to defend your artiste.”

Reacting to this, BNXN said he is sorry disrespecting senior colleague, Davido.
