Renowned Afrobeats musician David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been using social media to express his sorrow over the loss of his first child, Ifeanyi Adeleke. It has been exactly a year since Davido and his wife experienced the heart-wrenching loss of their child, Ifeanyi, on October 31, 2023.
On October 31, 2022, at the tender age of three, Ifeanyi Adeleke tragically drowned at his father’s Banana Island mansion. He was immediately rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lekki, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. At that time, Chioma and Davido were in Ibadan, Oyo State.
In remembrance of his late son, Davido, who recently welcomed a set of twins with Chioma, has been openly expressing how much he misses Ifeanyi. Today, on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter), Davido shared a dove symbol as a way to mourn the tragic loss of his son Ifeanyi. He also posted the same tribute on his Instagram page, which boasts 28.1 million followers, via the insta-stories section.
This heartfelt gesture by Davido serves as a poignant reminder of the pain and loss that he and his family have endured, and it resonates with those who have faced similar tragedies.
