I’ve been getting deæth threæts, I cover my face when going out, Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi

Wunmi Aloba, the widow of the late musician IleriOluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, testified during the coroner’s inquest in the Ikorodu neighborhood of Lagos, revealing that she has received death threats. These threats have led her to take precautions by always wearing a face mask when she ventures outside.

Tragically, Mohbad passed away in his room on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in the afternoon, long before his death was officially declared. His mother reported the incident, and it came after a series of past incidents, including bullying, psychological harm, and an arrest by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency. These events have had a profound impact on the family, leading to increased security concerns for Wunmi Aloba, who testified about the threats she has received.

Wunmi, the wife of the late artist Mohbad, explained that before the singer’s passing, he had taken a shower but wasn’t feeling well. He requested that the air conditioner in his room be turned on, but it didn’t work, so they quickly moved him to his son’s room. She mentioned that she was in the kitchen at the time and returned to find the nurse injecting him, with Mohbad asking the nurse to remove the syringe.

According to Wunmi’s testimony during the coroner’s inquest, they had to rush him to the hospital at that point. While they were en route, she stated that he was in the back seat of the car, and the driver informed her that his hands had already become cold, which added to the urgency of the situation.
