Nigerian singer, renowned by his stage name Portable, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, has opened up about his romantic involvement with Queen Damilola, the ex-wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo.

Previously, speculations and rumors about their relationship had been circulating, especially after Dami’s banishment from the palace following the demise of Oba Adeyemi. Even though both parties had not publicly addressed these rumors, a glance at their respective Instagram profiles reveals instances where they openly expressed affection for each other in the comment section.

In several instances, the ‘Zazoo’ crooner and Queen Dami referred to each other as “king” and “queen,” punctuated by a string of love-filled emojis.

However, Dami faced criticism for her involvement with the street pop artist despite her former royal status as a former wife of a king. Addressing their relationship in an interview on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Portable confirmed being in a romantic relationship with Dami.

Importantly, he clarified that he is not the father of Dami’s child, stating that the baby belongs to the late Alaafin of Oyo.

Portable revealed that Dami had been a fan of his even prior to the passing of her late husband, Oba Adeyemi. However, their relationship took a different trajectory following the king’s demise. Portable further mentioned that if the king were alive, he would not have pursued a relationship with Dami, as he respects the boundaries and dignity of other people’s marriages.
