“I came into the Industry before him, but I began looking up to him as time went by” – Charles Awurum, Victor Osuagwu share experience with late Mr Ibu

Charles Awurum and Victor Osuagwu, seasoned actors, pay tribute to their late colleague, Mr Ibu, sharing anecdotes and experiences they had with the comedy genius. The Nollywood veteran, Mr Ibu, passed away on March 2, 2024, succumbing to a cardiac arrest. The industry mourns the loss of this comedic legend.

His two colleagues, Charles Awurum and Victor Osuagwu with whom he had starred in so many movies together took to social media to express how they felt when they got the news.

They revealed that they were on set shooting in Ghana when they received the news of his death and they had to pause production and reflect the sad news they had just received.

Charles Awurum and Victor Osuagwu spoke highly of the late Mr Ibu and emphasized that his absence would leave a huge vacuum in the movie industry.

Charles Awurum recalled that he had acturally entered the movie industry before Mr Ibu but as time went by he began to look up the Mr Ibu because he had a lot to offer.
