Davido, Mr Macaroni, other celebrities saddened over Ondo church attack

Other celebrities, including singer Davido and comedian Mr Macaroni, have conveyed their sorrow over the attack on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.

The event occurred at a chapel less than 200 meters from the Palace of Olowo of Owo, according to reports.

In response to the attack that resulted in the loss of life, Davido urged Jesus to take command.

“Jesus take control,” Davido said on his Twitter page on Sunday. Please keep Nigeria in your prayers. All the souls that have perished, may you rest in peace. #prayforondo. This is excessive.

“Just reading that St Francis Church in Ondo State has been attacked!” Mr Macaroni tweeted. There have been multiple deaths! I’m not even sure what the figures are.

“I saw a portion of the video and couldn’t even finish it!” Is human life in Nigeria no longer valuable? Goodness!

“How can you just kill people like this?” says the narrator. How? As if their lives don’t matter! What should be done about their families? Their family, friends, and coworkers??

What has happened to the right of every citizen to life? There is no justification for this madness!”

“Everyday it’s a fresh terrible story that could have been averted,” rapper Eva Alordiah tweeted. Unnecessary evils and squandering of life in general.

“It’s really sad!” I’m sending love to everyone who is going through a difficult time right now. May nothing bad happen to us or the people we care about in Nigeria.”

“No! On his Twitter page, rapper Ladipoe bemoaned the “awful news.”

Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo State, has vowed to bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice.
